OpenStudy (zepp):

That's half a sphere, what's the formula to find a sphere's surface?

OpenStudy (zepp):

Area formula if you want.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont remember

OpenStudy (zepp):

\(4\pi r^2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooooooohhhhhh i get it

OpenStudy (zepp):

Yup, half the sphere = 4pi r^2 /2 and you add the plane circle and you should get the area of the chopped watermelon :)

OpenStudy (zepp):

Circle's area = \(\pi r^2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im getting 508.68

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do i put 509

OpenStudy (zepp):

509 is only the half of the sphere, you forgot to add the surface ;D

OpenStudy (zepp):

509 + pi * 9^2 = 763.47
