AnyOne Good With Geometry Need Help Please <3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

post problem

Can I Attach The File Here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

see where it says attach file below comment section

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I Need Problems 11-18 on Page 4-7 Please :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay the slope of two parallel lines are well if the they parallel that means the lines never cross each other so the must mean the slopes are? do you know what the answer to 11 is now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12 is transversal that I just googled lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ur Lookin At The Wrong Problem Keep Goin Down The Other Number 11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry Didnt Explian Well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that's okay lol one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay for the first problem you know that both angles are equivalent so both equations must equal each other so set the equations equal to one another and then solve for x do you know how to do this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol No

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I Suck At Geometry Lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not geometry at this point it is just algebra all you do is take equation for one and put it on one side of an equal sign put the equation for the other and put it on the other side of the equal sign you know what I mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you solve for x by moving stuff around do you want to try showing what you think I mean and I will tell you if it is right? I mean at least the first step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hold On

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3x+9)+(4x-47)=180

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you would add them if it was angle 1 and 3 but it is angle 3 and 5 so they are equivalent you don't add them here look 3x+9=4x-47 now solve for x want to try?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just give me the answer lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol is this for highschool?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea im a senior

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm not doing your homework for you lol you can find the answer do you know how to do algebra?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If not I will walk you through the steps cuz this is kind of important basic math knowledge and you won't go much farther

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay whatever you do to one side of an equation you have to do to the other. Your job is to isolate x so do you think you could get all the terms with x on one side and all the number on the other this step just involves addition and subtraction do you want to try?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what does that look like? the first step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u got email or facebook

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gotta leave for a min

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol I think that is irrelevant right now if I'm when you come back I will continue helping you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks alot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no prob
