Sal can run 50m while Fani runs 45per m . If Fani has a 5min start in a race how much time will Sal take to get level with her ?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

honestly...this doesnt make sense....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

"Sal can run 50m while Fani runs 45per m" <---talking about endurance "If Fani has a 5min start in a race how much time will Sal take to get level with her" <--speed??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the ans to this is 45 mins

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i think you miscopied the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no its right...

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

@bmp goodluck :D

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i cant do this with this given info lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@lgbasallote is right, the units that you copied here are wrong. Anyway, assuming both are speed, if person B has 5 min lead, she walked a distance 225 meters. We want to solve the time for which they were at the same position, so \[ s_{0} + v_b t = v_a t \]Which implies: \[225 + 45t = 50t \]Solve for t.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

itz 45 right!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

225/5 is 45, indeed. But, please, take more care over your units. It's confusing both for you and for us.
