I think I've spotted a bug(not exactly for the first time. A user just became my fan and in the notification it said short_self and 118 others became your fan. Whereas in my SmartScore page (and in the box where it shows some details of your profile when you keep your cursor on the user name), it shows 116 fans.

on a related note...hypothetical question...let's say i have 306 fans (which im not saying i do) but my notification says bla bla and 340 others (which im not saying it does) fanned you...Now my question is...if a person unfans then fans me, will it still say bla bla and 340 others? or bla bla and 341 others?

Hmm. You all bring up good points. So, I suspect we're not removing usernames from the fan notification when people unfan you. This is something we'll want to consider because it does have some computational cost associated with it. But, if you were confused by it, I'm sure @darthsid will want the dev team to implement something to remove those people who have unfanned you. heheh.
