I would really appreciate it if there was a way to disable the blinking chat window, or even to leave chat entirely while still remaining in a study group. The blinking window makes it hard to concentrate when trying to answer questions.
There is, ---> and <---- ;)
I use them to send the chats out of my window.
Sorry? I don't follow.
You'll find two arrows at the bottom right & left.... click on the left arrow ... keep clicking till all the chats are out of sight :)
Oh, interesting. I've seen those arrows before, but only briefly, and then they disappear. They aren't currently visible.
It is visible when a chat window is popped up.
Nope, just checked, still not there.
and there are more than 4 groups that you are studying..
Ah! That might be it, one second.
>= 4 in my screen.
Studying 6 groups, with chat windows open, no arrows.
They show up again!!! I still have the arrows but the chat windows keep popping up...
Do I've to study in one group at a time to avoid these chat windows (I'm in 8 groups)!!
Click the left arrow multiple times it should go away.
I would really like to figure out how to make these arrows appear haha. If it helps, I'm on Chrome 15 on Windows Vista
It appears for me when ever I am studying in 4 groups with at-least one chat window popped out.
Hey, I made it work! I think it's based on how wide the chat windows are, I had to open up like six of them. Thanks fool :)
Glad to help :)
It depends on your screen resolution, so you can try to join groups until you see arrows, but better would be to have option to disable that blinking but since it's closed probably noone will look at it
Yeah, I realized after I closed it that that solution was really kind of not great, especially on a 22" screen. It's a ton of hassle, and I would really prefer to just be able to disable the blinking.
or I can tag them @shadowfiend @mattfeury @farmdawgnation
We've already said we're looking into this several times, but we have other priorities at the moment. As we've mentioned before, if your post is in OpenStudy Feedback, please don't tag admins. We read everything in here when we get an opportunity. Thanks.
