Use the quadratic formula to find the roots of y=ax^2+bx+c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just write down the formula, that is your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oo ok its that simple

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, that's where the a b and c in the formula come from....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ye i know but it was a question for an investigation so i thought there was more thinking behind it :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You could investigate how you get the formula from the equation but that wasn't the question.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok so if we find the avrg of the two roots = -b/2a, assuming the discrimant>0, explain why (h,k) is the vertex of this parabola.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should post a separate question otherwise things get confusing....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no cze its based on the previous one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, it's up to you....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okk

Believe me, it is better to make a new question..:-)
