first distribute the 2 to the x and the 5 then, combine like terms and get the x alone

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So if I combine like terms should it be 10x+10>8x-8? :c I'm not sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when you distribute the x to the 2 it becomes 2x+10>8x-8, then get the x on one side by subtracting 10 from each side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then it becomes2x>8x-18; now subtract 8x from each side and you should get -6x>-18

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to get the x alone, divide -6 from the x and from the other side and it becomes x<3 because when dividing by a negative # the sign flips :)
