Can somebody explain these numbers to me?

OpenStudy (kymber):

What are these said 'numbers'? e_e

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not understand the numbers listed for the answer. If you could just explain the number to me, I can figure out the answer. Thanks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is a chemistry question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah, but I don't need help with the Chemistry part. I need help with the math part. I do not understand what those numbers are.

OpenStudy (kymber):

It's scientific notation. It's used to show large numbers in an abbreviated way. Move the decimal place ten times to the left. the ^-10 means it's going to be a decimal. If it was a positive power, then you'd move it the other way.|dw:1336594446640:dw| http://www.purplemath.com/modules/exponent3.htm This site might help too!
