Which is easier to use: Mathematica or Maple? anybody have experience with any or both of these software?

OpenStudy (zepp):

I'm don't know about Maple but I heard that Mathematica is awesome :|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have u use mathematica before? i've seen several posts/replies that came from mathematica notebooks...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm thinking of the getting student version maple or mathematica

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Mathematica is better

OpenStudy (anonymous):

better... but is it easier to use? i heard there's a steep learning curve for it.

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

What kind of mathematics will you be doing with either of these programs?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One thing that is nice about Maple is that it makes nice equations that are easy to look at. For example when you make a fraction it comes up with the actual fraction bar and looks just like it would in a textbook. Never tried mathematica... Matlab and Wolfram Alpha are always good too :)

Here's a link for a good comparison http://www.wikivs.com/wiki/Maple_vs_Mathematica
