OpenStudy (matt6288):

hes dumb keep up the good work :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about 4^-2 ?

OpenStudy (matt6288):

1/16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain it ..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when the exponent is negative you bring it downstairs hehe

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you know how you have 4^1, that's normal. 4^1=4. 4^-1 would be 1/4 though, so now when you do 4^-2 it's just like 4^2 but you bring it downstairs. 1/16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so say the its was (-5)^-2 do you do the same thing & bring it downstairs lol ?
