This looks like an extension of the same bug that occasionally causes the "(1) (0)..." to appear in the title.

I often get (1)(1)(1)(1)(1)(1)(1)(1)(1)(1)... or (2)(2)(2)(2)(2)(2)(2)... or sometime even with 3's for the tab title. Although this always seems to appear when I'm viewing a question, and never at the homepage.
