the maxima according to your graph is at y=2 ..now any sin(f(x)) or cos(f(x)) has maximum value 1 and minimum -1 ..according to this,,on matching with the options,,it has to be among options B and C .. 
now at x=1.. option C gives y=-2 which does not satisfy the graph..hence the answer should be option B..
