Hey i m recieving the same message over a number of times.......look into the matter ASAP.....i feel it is OS bug!!!!!!!!!!

Hm. Someone has a sense of humor and has registered "farmdawgnation." as a username. Go figure, it was jivedaddy. Need to fix that. heh.

The bug isn't really that the message is being duplicated. The bug is that the person is sending it multiple times. It can take awhile for there to be confirmation that the message is received. People get impatient, and then send another message.

That happens to me every now and then but I tought it was because people get impatient and they don't get the "Hermes would be proud" box fast enough so they keep clicking submit?

@sheg, are the duplicates visible on your messages page?: http://openstudy.com/messages

If there are duplicates there, that means it got sent multiple times. The cause for that could be our code, but it could easily just be the sender sending it multiple times. If there are no duplicates on that page, then it is definitely a bug in our system.

We're actually going to eliminate the loophole that lets you send another message before the current one has sent instead.

yeah i think there was once a time where a simple Ctrl + A did not make the Submit box go blue....or i could be just delusional as always...i could never differentiate reality from fantasy o.O
