Triangle 2 is a reflection of triangle 1. Triangle 1 has coordinates A (2, 4), B (4, 4) and C (2, 2). Triangle 2 has coordinates A' (-2, 4), B' (-4, 4) and C' (-2, 2). Which line is triangle 1 reflected over?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

only x co-ordinates change..clearly,,reflection is over x=0 i.e. y axis//

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so y-axis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the y axis all the y-coordinates of A, B and C are still the same after reflection, and the the only change is x-coordinates. A has x-coordinate of 2 and A' has -2, so y-axis is in between this 2 point. You can use formula too.|dw:1336668998002:dw|
