i think you have inadequate information...we cannot transform a function of a random variable f(x) to g(y) via the jacobian if we do not know the function to which the value of the constant k relates to and was derived from. A transform g(y)=f(x, (y)*|dx/dy| where |dx/dy| is the jacobian
