Is it possible for a sequence to be both an arithmetic sequence and a geometric sequence? Explain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no there is no such sequence

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, strictly speaking that is false. but if it where both, the sequence would be constant sequence, \(\{a, a, a, a,..\}\) where \(r=1\) and \(d=0\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so original statement i made was false, if i sequence is geometric and arithmetic, then it is a constant
