Help with a math question? The two diagonals of parallelogram PQRS are 32 cm and 60 cm long. If the parallelogram is a rhombus, what is the length of side PQ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if its a rhombus then the diagonals are perpendicular=>apply pythagoras: PQ^2=16^2+30^2=>PQ=34 CM

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, apply the Pythagorean theorem because like ghass said, the diagonals are perpendicular. Just remember the property of Rhombuses, which the four sides are equal just like a square, except for the diagonals but they are each perpendicular meaning right triangles.
