This is kind of a strange question haha...do you know who persephone was and the story?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm just asking because I don't really know any female super heros but I know about persephone so if you need info on her I can give you that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Erm, if it helps any, there are two Persephones in Marvel comics. http://marvel.wikia.com/Persephone_(Olympian) http://marvel.wikia.com/Persephone_(Spinsterhood) I hope this helps!

Just to be sure, you're talking about the persephone from the greek myths right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you are: not sure how many different myths she was in (i think it was only 1?) but in that one (The Pomegranate Seed [there's different variations but they're mostly the same]) Persephone disobeyes her mother Demeter (she was a goddess who tended the land) by wandering away and ends up being kidnapped by Hades (god of the underworld and wealth) he won't let her leave blah blah blah finally Demeter finds her and sends someone to bring her home, she hasn't eaten since she's been with Hades (Sorry, I forget what but something happens if she eats when she's with him, I think it will make not able to leave or something) and she's so hungry she eats a 6 pomegranate seeds by mistake. Hades says she can go but says that she has to stay with Hades 6 months for the amount of seeds she eats

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also she started feeling bad for him which I'm not sure is important for you to know or not. Hre's a quote from one version of the story, "Ah, unfortunate child, and miserable me!" exclaimed Ceres. "For each of those six pomegranate seeds you must spend one month of every year in King Pluto's palace. You are but half restored to your mother. Only six months with me, and six with that good-for-nothing King of Darkness!"
