x^2-5x-5=2x+3 add to both sides -2x-3
x^2-5x-5-2x-3=2x+3-2x-3
x^2-7x-8=0 this can being factorized 
(x+1)(x-8)=0
x+1=0
x=-1
x-8=0
x=8

2) Bring 0 on the right side by subtracting 3 from both sides.
