Usually with a statement of where and when the services and interment, if any, will take place, along with a comment about what people who are not invited to them can do to honor the deceased, e.g. "in lieu of flowers donations in the memory of the deceased can be made to the United Charities of Foo."

exactly. you end with a statement that answers the whole obuitary. if your doing an obuitary that's on a coin collecting club you can end it like this for ex:''Belonging to the coin collecting club has been a source of many good memories and continues to bring to his/her life much enjoyment''. that's all

On a positive note. In reading, the beginning and end usually impact the reader to the greatest extent. The end matters. Leave the reader with a sense of positivity out of respect for the deceased.
