How can I figurE this out? its part of a three step problem il just post what they are basically asking and maybe someone can help me Chords AB and CD intersect at Point E, which is the point where the earthquake began. According to your calculations, it took three seconds for waves to arrive at Point B, 6 seconds for them to arrive at Point C, and 7 seconds for them to arrive at Point D. If the waves were traveling in perfectly straight lines at constant speeds, how long should you expect them to take to arrive at Point A? http://www.flickr.com/photos/65820711@N04/7180077282/

Directrix (directrix):

Theorem: If two chords intersect inside a circle, the products of the lengths of the segments of one chord is equal to the product of the lengths of the segments of the other chord. AE * EB = CE * ED AE * 3 = 6 * 7 3 AE = 42 AE = 14
