A great thing just struck my mind. Why don't the mods and the OS team create a list of 'suggested members'. I know that there is a list ordered by smartscore, but that doesn't mean that the people that help a lot an have a smarscore ~ 60 will be neglected. Also, there are some answer shooters who have a high smartscore(I'd not like to take their names). They shouldn't be included in the list. More discussions can be done in the replies.

the "60 people" are probably neglected because they have not gained enough credentials in the site. no credentials -> no credibility...but the bigger question may be what do you suggest as criteria for suggested members?

But don't you think that would reduce the chances for other members? It might be helpful to the suggested users and askers but certainly not for the users who are not suggested.

hmm good point...and i really think the smartscore basically tells the story...i mean if you're good in math but not very much active then it reflects in the score...you would have a low score then...but the most active members have high levels...so it reflects in the score as well...

It'd really boost up the other members who aren't on the list, and as a result, they'd actually start helping the members.

Also, this proposal will tell the neophytes on the site about the members they may contact on this site.

HOWEVER if we can see the people the hugh level users fanned...then that's as good as "suggested members" already isnt it

No, I mean that it'd be a list that'd be made by OS staff, which will boost up the confidence of the people on the list.

Nothing, but if the neophytes don't know whom to contact, they can just that list.
