i tink people call this a unit circle...i call it a cartesian plane :p|dw:1336832889423:dw| now imagine the x coordinates are cos theta and y coordinates are sin theta...on pi/2 tan theta is sin theta/cos theta 

tan theta = 1/0 thus undefined...got that? same goes for 3 pi/2 it becomes -1/0
