You can't go wrong with About.com's guide here: http://french.about.com/ Simple, easy to follow explanations on a plethora of subjects. For practicing with a native, I like to use http://www.sharedtalk.com/ http://wordreference.com/ is a handy French to English and reverse dictionary that I often use.
