Leanna guesses on four multiple choice test questions in a row. Each question has 3 possible answers. What is the probability that Leanna will guess the answer to the 4th question correctly? 1/81 1/12 1/3
HINT: ONLY THE THIRD. Nothing else matters.
*only the 4th, sorry.
See, 4th question is an independent event. We see that 1/3 is the probability to answer it correctly. Answer is the third option.
This question has confused everyone for ages! Hope I have ENLIGHTENED YOU :P
@ParthKohli , you actually mostly just gave the answer.
Okay, 4th question has no connection with other questions. And the probability to answer correctly is \({1 \over 3}\) because our preferred number of outcomes(1) over number of possible outcomes(3) would be the probability.
@ParthKohli , that's much better. But, unfortunately this user is obviously just an ask answer user.
