OpenStudy (aravindg):

in what all ways can we increase our analytical skills ?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

@apoorvk , @Ishaan94

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Practice Math! :D and some analytic Problems, try to solve Rubik's Cube.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

what does rubik's cube gta do with IIT?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Practice baba, practice, and think more, more and more!! use that critical eye ;)

OpenStudy (aravindg):

bt wat kind of problems?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

is it true that rubik's cube increases analytical skill?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

yes.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

i didnt knw dat @Ishaan94 did u do rubik'sube on free time?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

wt abt u apoorv?

OpenStudy (aravindg):

.......

OpenStudy (aravindg):

the thing is i do enough problems but still i see no significant increase in analytical skill

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to be sharp observer, nothing else required. :)

OpenStudy (aravindg):

hmm.. bt still i need better advice

OpenStudy (aravindg):

the thing is i do enough problems but still i see no significant increase in analytical skillv

OpenStudy (aravindg):

:(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont do rubik's cube regularly.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Don't take tension bro. Work out adequate problems of various types . It all comes by practice. Trust me. I never have able to solve the rubic cube even once :P

OpenStudy (aravindg):

then ??occasionally? i mean wat if i do it regularly when i get free time ..can i expect significant rise in analytical skill?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cant say. Don't worry about your analytic skills, think hard and do hard problems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Try some IIT subjective problems. They are awesome brain exercise :)

OpenStudy (aravindg):

hmm....wat abt increasing visual thinking?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or some International olympiad problems too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Think Hard!

OpenStudy (aravindg):

so u guys saying ..take vry good problems and think hard evryday?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes. Take one problem and religiously try to solve it for 4 - 5 hours. You will notice the difference

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean a really hard problem

OpenStudy (aravindg):

4-5 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

OpenStudy (aravindg):

i get nearly 4-5 hours a day hw can i use it for a single problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve Irodov, SL Loney Coordinate. And if Irodov isn't challenging enough, solve Mechanics by Keplnnar or something. I don't remember the name.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Irodov--->Awesome for physics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And Hall Knight Algebra. but you can not quit, once you start it you will have to finish it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For math, take math international olympiad problems

OpenStudy (aravindg):

doing all topics increases analytical skill equally or doing specific area increases more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I never analysed this :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like I said, stop worrying about your analytic skills. Try to solve harder problems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Ishaan94 is right

OpenStudy (aravindg):

k..well when am i supposed to look at the answer ,i mean after hw many tries?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have a look at the final answer and try to get that answer. Don't see the steps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

always remember, hard problems=combination of many concepts

OpenStudy (aravindg):

u mean i should look final answer before evn attempting it ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Of course not. Now don't ask stupid questions. Go and try to solve harder problems.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me put some hard math problem for you here

OpenStudy (aravindg):

wow make it related to jee

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont expect you to solve the IPhO problem, it's extremely tough but you can solve the Math one.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

one last doubt hw much time should i work on a qn and when should i give up ?? in need min time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Only you can and your stubbornness can know that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No stupid questions please !

OpenStudy (aravindg):

:P srsry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Make sure your concepts and fundamentals are strong before attempting hard problems

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah^^

OpenStudy (aravindg):

also i should do these hard questions regularly ryt?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Stop worrying and start solving.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

i cant wait to get a new rubik's cube

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh please. no baqwaas, only kaam

OpenStudy (aravindg):

ya thx evryone :)

OpenStudy (aravindg):

it was really helpful

OpenStudy (aravindg):

i wish i could medal u all :)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Set your mind thinking, get curious. "Dilon mein jo apni betaabiyaan lekar chal rahe ho, toh zinda ho tum.. Jo apni aankhon mein hairaniyaan le kar chal rahe ho, toh zinda ho tum.."

OpenStudy (aravindg):

eng pls i dont knw hindi

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

And most importantly, BELIEVE. Kyunki kal kisi ne kuchh socha tha, isiliye aaj woh hai.

OpenStudy (aravindg):

eng

OpenStudy (aravindg):

translate karo :)

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

"Walk with curiosity in your heart, you shall feel alive... Walk with the thirst of knowledge tearing you apart, and you shall feel alive... Walk with astonishment in your eyes, and you shall feel alive..." -Javed Akhtar

OpenStudy (aravindg):

:) wt abt last dialog in hindi translate that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Because Someone thought something and that is why today exists"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This is the meaning of what @apoorvk said in his last statement

OpenStudy (aravindg):
