any1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

music of your own feelings or personal experiences... anything that comes from your heart... maybe a lost of a family member, a breakup, etc:)

OpenStudy (matt6288):

good examples @seashell

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why thank you:)

You can tell very easily whether music is from the head or from the heart. Real wholesome and heart-felt music will either move you or get you movin, or both. Head-music is manufactured. It's empty and usually ends up getting skipped.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

for me....music from head is when you go poetic on lyrics and apply music theories on the melody. music from the heart is not caring about how it sounds but just expresses the inner feelings of the musician

OpenStudy (anonymous):

personaly i think that if ti comes from the heart that mmeans that it is u who did it n and stuf.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think @dyiliq and @lgbasallote explained it well

OpenStudy (anonymous):

music that's not from your head

OpenStudy (april115):

for me.. music from the head talks about other things for example 50 cent candy shop. now music from the heart are like for example: whitney houston i will always love you. so as you can see there's a difference. beacause 50 cent talks about girls, money, candy and other things. while whitney houston talks about love and happiness.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@imran that is profound ;P @april those are good example!

OpenStudy (april115):

music from the heart comes from your feelings and what u feel inside. whatever you feel goes into the music. when music from the head you feel like talking about money, drinking and getting girls.

OpenStudy (april115):

thanks at@rebeccaskell94

It means u feel it from within. Its an expression of what you hold on the inside.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u put all your heart n it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It means that the music comes from how you are feeling. It has a lot of emotions and feelings in it, it's basically a reflection of your emotions that is put into sound.

This book is really helpful for learning how to play music with heart and emotion. "The Art of Practicing: A Guide to Making Music from the Heart," by Madeline Bruser. http://www.amazon.com/The-Art-Practicing-Guide-Making/dp/0609801775
