Yep, imagine a grid with the x-axis and y-axis intersecting perpendicular through the origin. You get the Cartesian Plane. So the first quadrant is whenever the x and y values are positive (x, y). The second quadrant is when (-x, y), third quadrant (-x, -y), and finally the fourth quadrant when (x, -y). Hope this helps!
