Physics problem regarding energy, work, and power. (Diagram will be posted shortly... :P) The figure (to be drawn) shows a motor used to lift a block of concrete. The mass of the block is 700 kg and the mass of the cradle is 50 kg. Take the gravitational field strength as 10 N/kg. 1. Calculated the work done if the motor lifts the block from rest at a constant speed through a vertical height of 12 m from the ground, then stops. (My answer: 90,000 J?) 2. Calculated the speed of the load as it is lifted up. 3. Calculated the tension in the wire as the load is lifted up.
