I want a simple programming problem which lends itself to an object orientated solution. I have spent so long doing procedural programming that my mindset is stuck in that paradigm. I am comfortable writing comms. in C which will sit on a "select" and as such fits into the event driven model but solving a problems and implementing a genuine object orientated solution needs a different approach.

Try doing something GUI related in C. The windows API and GTK are both object-oriented and in C :)
