OpenStudy (smurfy14):

Find the derivative. Can you check my answer

OpenStudy (smurfy14):

I got -(72)/(3x-2)^3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm is the original denominator \((3x-2)^4\) or \((3x-2)^2\)??

OpenStudy (smurfy14):

original denominator is (3x-2)^4

OpenStudy (smurfy14):

so it would be ^7?

OpenStudy (smurfy14):

how so?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i get -(72)/(3x-2)^5

OpenStudy (smurfy14):

how did you get the 5 at the end?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it was -72(3x-2)^2/(3x-2)^8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you bring an exponential expression to the numerator you have to change the sign.

OpenStudy (smurfy14):

oh ok badi i see. thank you

OpenStudy (anonymous):

welcom

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah if you do it really fast you might skip those little steps so be careful
