I have to write a essay on the cold war so could some one help me out with a banging catching the readers attention intro would mean alot please!

The Cuban Missile Crisis is a good topic to cover if you're looking to focus on only one event. For some people, it was 90 miles to doomsday with nukes sitting in Cuba.

There's the film, "Thirteen Days" which is a decent overview, though it takes some liberties as Hollywood always does with the facts. There are also a number of videos on Hulu.com that cover the topic (just do a search on "Cuban Missile Crisis" for a starting point).
