solve z + 4/z = -5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(z-4)(z-1) it means the value of z is 1,4

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

\[z^2+5z+4=0\] equation will become like this after simplification and then u apply quadratic formula to get answer.:)

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

@shona1826 u have written eq. wrong .sorry to inform!:)

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

since eq will become like this:-- \[(z+4)(z+1)=0\] and answers will be -4 & -1.:)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this eq will come z^2-5z+4

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

but when u transfer -5z to left side u will get +5z.

OpenStudy (maheshmeghwal9):

recheck please:)
