pt) How many solutions does the system of equations have? A. The system has exactly one solution. B. The system has infinitely many solutions. C. The system has no solution.

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Where is the 'system'?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

do you think these lines will ever intersect ?

OpenStudy (apoorvk):

Okay these lines are parallel - that means they do not intersect anywhere. So what could that mean - how many solutions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

non...that the question!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Never assume that parallel line have no solution. If the equations are parallel and are the same then there will be an infinite number of solutions. Knowing that two equations lines are parallel can give you two options. No solution or Infinite number of solutions. In this case there is no solution.
