I'm really over the constant spamming/five billion accounts for one user coming through OS, I usually ignore stuff like this, but today has been beyond ridiculous. Is there a way we can finally have the mods agree on less accounts? Like maybe even just 2 or 3; not necessarily 1?

I think it will be hard to control the amount of accounts a user makes since some people share the same household or ip.

grr this is true. well...the average number of children in a house is 3.5, but since we all like kids whole we could limit it to 4 ;D

Also, someone could make accounts on another I.P. and log in at their house. It wouldn't be able to limit the amount of accounts if they are created on another I.P.

Even if we implement a policy, we probably won't be implementing a technical limitation on the number of accounts anytime soon. The policy would be moderator-enforced, thus it wouldn't really have avoided the issues you're seeing. A technical limitation would be a good deal harder, and we have other priorities at the moment.

I do realize yesterday got a bit nuts, sorry about that. Unfortunately a combination of some willing trolls and it being a Sunday, and a Mother's Day Sunday to boot, meant the moderator-to-troll ratio wasn't quite enough to keep the nastiness at bay. We'll try and organize to see if we can avoid that in the future.
