Draw the box and whisker plot the pic is in the chat for this question
uh, what level of math is this? I've never heard of a whisker plot. Is it statistics?

EH! Ok...I'm feeling like an idiot right now. As a calc student, I've never heard of a whisker plot, although I've heard of mean, median, mode, etc
ok
@eashmore can you help katie out? @B.R.M same question
sure bro let me se
thx
thx guys :)
okay i think you have to first put the values in numerical order
yes I did that
No find the mean of the numbers. (The average).
yes what @eashmore said find the mean
Sorry. *Now find the mean.
use this as to help you understand better is been a long time since i have done this :)
the mean is 507
sorr y thats not right its 36.2
I'm getting 37.13 as the mean.
Regardless, the next step is to find the median value. There are 15 values, we need the 7th one. (35)
Now, we need to find the medians of the two data sets above and below the median. Since 35 is a datum, we exclude it. These two medians represent the first and third quartiles of the data and define the bounds of our box. The data set below 35 is 25, 27, 28, 30,30,33,34. The median of this is 30. The data set above 35 is 40, 40, 41, 45, 49, 50,50. The median of this is 45.
We now have our box. It should be between 30 and 45 on the number line. Within our box, we mark the second quartile, which is the median of the entire data set (35). The whiskers extend from the box to the highest and lowest values in the data set (maximum and minimum). These are 25 and 50.
I'm sorry. We don't actually need to know the mean.
