OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which characteristic could help you distinguish between plants and fungi? A.The growing location of the organism B.The color of the organism C.The spores made by the organism D. The hyphae structures in the organism PLEASE help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The hyohae strucuture is tipical of fungi and some bacteria.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So its d?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should ask if plants growth in "hyphae" structures. Maybe wiki could help us :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i tried it already and it didnt help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Or maybe you could eliminate other options...what do you think about a) and b)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk i dont really understand it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont think it would be color

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe the location?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you ever seen a fungi grow in your backyard?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are trying to help you not just give you the answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have seen it, and then I know they could grow in the same location. Then a couldn´t be the correct answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i dont think it would be color becasue all fungi is green loking right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not all. But if you know that some fungi are green (the common colour of a plant) then colour won`t be a good characteristic for distinguishing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so now its between c and d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Spores or hyphae is missing. You have to know what aa spore is. And what a hyphae is. When you study some sistematics you learn that hyphae structure is a differential characteristic of fungi. Is just a basic fact that is observed. Maybe it is in yourbooks :p
