that angle HMG = Angle JMK as they are vertically opposite angles
now sum of all the angles of a triangle is 180
42+ angle JMK + angle KJM =180

angle KJM = 180- 42- angle JMK

now if you notice all three angles are equal in so the two triangles are similar by Angle Angle Angle method or AAA method
