Please need help correcting sentences :)
one sec please
The first man in space yuri gagarin made a single orbit of the planet earth and reaches an altitude of one hundred eighty-eighty mi
here is the sentence
I believe it would be : The first man in space, Yuri Gagarin made a single orbit of the planet Earth. It reaches an altitude of one hundred eighty-eight million.
@DarkSky909 Well, what is "it" referring to in "It reaches altitude of one hundred eighty-eight million"? And "eighty-eight million" what? I think it should be, "The first man who was in space, Yuri Gagarin, had made a single orbit of the planet Earth and had reached an altitude of one hundred eighty-eight million feet." @B.R.M Is it feet at the end? You kind of cut off the sentence.
sorry my bad ty @fallingangel and DarkSky909
The first man in space, Yuri Gagarin, made a single orbit of the planet Earth and reached an altitude of one hundred eighty-eight million miles.
"The first man in space yuri gagarin made a single orbit of the planet earth and reaches an altitude of one hundred eighty-eighty mi" In your previous sentence, there is a proper noun, so that needs to be captialized. Additionally, that proper noun is an apposition, so that word needs the commas. I am assuming past tense, because this person lived in the past. Here, the tense of the verbs need to match, and in the previous sentence the two verbs are "reaches" and "made." One verb is past tense while the other is present tense. At the end of the sentence, I assumed you meant million miles, and I filled the blanks. Make sure to write out all the words in words.
thank you really much i really appreciate it @Boblankin
