Writing 15 Online

I need help writing a thesis statement. i have to write an exploratory essay in which you compare and contrast online learning with classroom (on-ground) learning.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that all a thesis statement is?

Online learning can have many advantages and disadvantages as well. I did my high school online and I am doing my college classes now. I find it more convenient to do classes online with a full time job. It can also be harder though because there is not teacher you can ask a question and get a response right away. With my high school classes I did them in a classroom with teachers. this is what I have. Will it work?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would say, "There has been a debate in recent years if online-schooling is better than being in a classroom setting. Both can have their advantages and disadvantages. I am doing college courses online and did my high school courses online as well. I have found it more convenient to do classes online in my situation, because I have a full-time job. It can be hard at timesthough, becasue there is no teacher that you can ask a question to and get a helpful response right away. So that is an advantage of being in an actual classroom." I don't know what you want to say after this, but I got you started. :) How long does it have to be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the essay has to be three pages. im not sure how long a thesis statement is. im going to school to be an accountant and im in two writting classes lol.

The thesis statement, usually found at the end of the first paragraph of an essay or similar document, summarizes the main points and arguments of the author. Usually no more than three or four sentences long, the function of a thesis statement is to introduce the reader to the purpose of the document and outline the major topics that will be covered to achieve that purpose. Authors typically present any set-up or necessary introductory information in the sentences preceding the thesis statement.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So about three or four sentences. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hope this helps!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awesome! thank you!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You learn more with in class learning because you have the interaction of the prefessor and t entire class. The student interaction can push your learning and ithe nuances of the class can be better discovered in person rather than online
