The equations representing income and expenses for Tom's candy store are shown in the graph below. Income: 20,000x - 3y = 0 Expenses: 10,000x - 3y + 90,000 = 0 Let x represent the month and y represent the amount in dollars. In which month were the store's expenses greater than its income?
What problem you are facing it's clear from graph expenses were greater then income from (Jan- Sep)
say
October july november september so outof those, which is the best answer
July

find the sttem of equations using elimination
Question is not clear in image
3x+2y=26 5x-7y=33
find the system of equations using elimination
in elimination method we have to eliminate variables to find roots or you can say stems... multiply first eqn by 5 & second by 3 so we can eliminate x... The new eqns will be... 15x+10y=130 15x-21y=99 now subtract them 31y= 31 so, y=1 now put y in any eqn to find x 3x+2*1=26 x=8 You can also do this question by eliminating y You can do this by multiplying first original eqn by 7 & second original eqn by 2
:) thanks, i understand
