Hey! I've just started off with a guitar. I've played piano, know the basics of reading music and have some experience with the violoncello, but the guitar seems a whole different thing. I'm trying to teach myself how to play, but I don't know how I should work :( I know a couple simple chords, but where do I go now? Please heeelp! Any suggestions are welcomed.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

after learning chords, you learn strums...once you got those two down you can play simple songs...then learn new chords and strums to play new songs...once you know a lot of chords and strums, then you go on to learning riffs in guitar..if you have experience in those instrumnts hthen you'll learn riffs and melodies easily another thing you can do is to learn to play the guitar like piano...all you need to do is learn and memorize by heart the notes of the guitar

Your right guitar is different you almost don't read notes you play chords which is extremely easy when you learn them. strumming isnt hard compared to chords and stuff but it is a big chunck of the sound
