If i know that cos feta = 0.93, how do I solve for sin feta and tan feta?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

get to know this fact from trigonometry: (sinx)^2 + (cosx)^2 = 1 so if you want sinx, then solve for it in the equation above.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to get tanx, just use the defnition: tanx = sinx/cosx

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i will try that, thanks for your help

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you have an answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes I got sinx=0.3676 and tanx=0.3952

now I'm stuck on another problem. I am trying to figure out how to do this: Given a right triangle where cosx=0.06 and the length of the leg opposite the angle in question is 5m, what is the length of the hypotenuse? Do you know how I can go about solving this?
