The equation of a wave is y = 3sin 2t, where t is in seconds. (a) State the value of the amplitude and period of this wave.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

amplitude = max displacement so maximum value sine can take is 1 hence we have 3 x 1 = 3 assuming we are in radians sin(t) is periodic with period 2pi so sin(2t) is periodic with period pi (stretch sf 1/2 in t)
