Find the Amplitude & period of y= cos(3x)-1

OpenStudy (zepp):

Basically, a cosine function is y = Acos(Bx) where A is the amplitude. What is A in your function?

OpenStudy (zepp):

\(y=1cos(3x)-1\) What is A, B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

amplitude is 2 i guess nd period is 2*pi/3

OpenStudy (zepp):

Amplitude would be 1 here, and the formula to find the period is 2pi/|B|, which is 2pi/|3|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep sry about that it's 1 :P

OpenStudy (zepp):

And @A.Avinash_Goutham I was trying to help the person out, posting the answer directly is kinda disrespectful to me, please avoid doing so next time :)
