Explain, using examples, the difference between continous and discontinous variation?

OpenStudy (blues):

Hi Khan, you will get better help if you post math questions in the math group. This is biology. Here is a link to the math group: http://openstudy.com/study#/groups/Mathematics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

continous it means it continues and discontinious means it stops at a certain point

OpenStudy (blues):

Continuous does mean continues. An example of a discontinuous variable is height. But discontinuous means discrete or countable, like the number of leaves on a tree.

OpenStudy (blues):

As I said, you would get a better explanation if you posted that in the *math* group, not biology. Biologists are notoriously bad at math.

yea she's right
