Find the Area within central angle AOB

OpenStudy (anonymous):

area of the sector or area of the triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Tip: OA and OB are radius so OA = OB = 6 You can calculate the area using 2 sides and an angle between OR using pythagoras theorem.

if it's the triangle, you can just use A = (1/2)6^2*sin(60) if it's the sector, A=(1/2)r^2*(pi/3) and if it's that part of the sector not including the triangle part, then just subtract.

okay:) thanks
