I need help really bad! D: Solve the system of equations. 5x - y = 3 and -10x + 2y = -6

These two equations are not independent which means you cannot get a unique solution for x and y from these. If you divide the second equation by 2 you will get: -5x + y = -3 Then multiplying both sides by -1 we get: 5x - y = 3 Which is identical to the first equation. Systems of equations can only be solved if the two equations are independent.
