In a bike race, a ride covers a 5 mile flat stretch of road at a speed of s mi/h. She then doubles her speed down hill 1 mile long. Finally, she reduces her down hill speed by 12 mi/h as she rides the last 3 miles of the race. What function gives the time t it takes the rider to finish the race in terms s? I need someone to explain how to solve it. An answer would also be nice :)
