solve 4x^2+16x+15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as in \[4x ^{2}+16x+15=0?\] If so, use the quadratic equation. Your equation is in the form \[ax ^{2}+bx+c=0\] a=4 b=16 c=15 The quadratic equation is \[x=\frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac}}{2a}\] Plug in your values for a,b,c for this situation and solve for x. You'll have two answers because of the plus and minus the square root.
